Scott Rewak

Bio: Scott Rewak joined Ikard Wynne in 2015 with a focus on family law. Prior to that, he spent five years with the family law firm of Duffee and Eitzen in Dallas. Scott’s family law experience includes cases of divorce, child custody, modifications, paternity suits and premarital agreements, both in court trials and alternative dispute resolution arenas. He has also represented commercial clients in landlord tenant disputes and breach of contract actions.

Scott received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law in 2009. In law school, his experience began as a member of the Child Advocacy Clinic representing indigent children who were removed from their parents by child protective services. Also in law school, Scott was elected to the National Order of the Barristers, a distinction honoring excellence in oral advocacy in Moot Court competitions.

Scott earned a B.B.A. in accounting from Southern Methodist University in 2001 and then spent several years in the accounting field working with large corporate clients. He also served as a volunteer in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

Scott devotes his time to working with the Human Rights Initiative of North Texas, assisting immigrant children attain legal status in the United States. Scott is licensed to practice law in Texas, New York and in the United States Supreme Court.
